The 2006 premiership player overcame two years of frustration with groin problems to make a strong finish to 2009, playing 10 consecutive games and averaging 19 disposals over his last five matches. Regained much-needed confidence in a role off half-back and would be feeling buoyant about his chances of re-establishing himself in the midfield leading into the new season.
