Dual Club Champion Elliot Yeo is hopeful he can return soon to finish off the season after making a comeback from a string of injuries already in 2022.

Yeo was subbed out in Round 17 against Richmond at the MCG due to a hamstring injury in the third quarter of the game.

Throughout the year Yeo has had groin, calf, illness and concussion battles – the positive to his hamstring setback is that he should return by the end of July.

“At this stage I think it will be a couple weeks still – the big thing will be trying to tick off top speed,” Yeo told 96fm.

The fast-rebounding backliner aims to get back to playing games as the season will soon end with only six rounds remaining.

“I’d like to try and get back and play as many games as I can and try to finish off the season, but we will have to wait and see - at the moment it’s feeling great so its all positive and we’ll go from there,” Yeo said.

This Sunday, West Coast will take on Hawthorn at the MCG with a difficult task ahead.

Keeping in mind Hawthorn is coming off a 32-point win over Adelaide at home last week, Yeo believes they are up for the challenge.

“They have been very hot and cold, but their good is very good.

It will be a tough game that’s for sure, but definitely a winnable game,” Yeo said.
