Sprits are high at West Coast, and with the NAB Challenge match against Fremantle just eight days away, so they should be!

Having endured the gut-busting pre-season campaign, the squad is now moving into the in-season program and they are relishing the looming opportunity against the Dockers at Arena Joondalup next Tuesday.

A short, sharp session at Patersons Stadium this morning was high quality, but there was still room for a bit of fun.

In his short, but impressive career Jack Darling has patented the backflip… a manoeuvre he has introduced to get off the deck from time to time after being tackled.

Midfield teammate Luke Shuey thought he’d have a go at the technique at the end of training.

It was not quite as perfect as Darling’s cat-like bounces to his feet, but Shuey threw in a little more variety with a few cartwheels and a handstand which was most impressive!
