West Coast key forward Jake Waterman has received a perfect 10 AFL Coaches Association votes for his influence in the Eagles’ thrilling two‑point victory over Port Adelaide on Sunday.

Waterman was one of only three players across the league to earn maximum votes in round three, joining Collingwood star Nick Daicos and Melbourne’s Kysaiah Pickett in claiming the top score from both coaches.

The 27‑year‑old spearhead again proved pivotal as a strong-marking target inside 50, standing up in crucial moments and booting four critical goals.

Waterman’s perfect score places him among the standout performers of the round, while the explosive Harley Reid continues to rise up the overall AFLCA leaderboard.

Reid has now moved into the competition’s top ten bracket of vote‑getters, currently equal eighth overall on 15 votes after three rounds following another impactful display.

Reid received five votes for his 21, two-goal performance against the Power, with Tim Kelly (23 disposals, seven clearances) also receiving five and last round’s Rising Star nominee Jobe Shanahan (game-high four contested marks) earning two votes.

The AFL Coaches Association voting system sees each senior coach award votes on a 5‑4‑3‑2‑1 basis, with 10 the highest possible score a player can receive from a match. At season’s end, the player with the most accumulated votes is crowned the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year.
