As West Coast prepares for a 38-degree hit-out against St Kilda at Patersons Stadium on Saturday evening, a sister club in Italy is experinencing another extreme altogether.

Joining the Eagles stable over the off-season, the Milano Eagles have endured a pre-season program through snow and slush.

It has nevertheless proved to be a successful recipe, with the Eagles winning their first practice match against Strasbourg last month.

The team has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a set of West Coast Eagles guernseys, which should reach their shores ahead of the next practice match on March 24 against the West London Wildcats.
