Hey fans, hope you’re all doing swell on this rainy Thursday! I sure am glad we’ve got an away game this weekend in sunny Brissie and not playing here. Enjoy that, Freo. Enjoy that heaps.

So, let’s review last week’s game shall we? Or is ‘game’ the wrong word to be using? Should I be using ‘clinic’....? Or ‘demolition’….?

In case you didn’t pick up was I was putting down there, we won. By 70 points. No biggie. Huge props to Jack Darling for booting five, Coxy and Kennedy for booting four, Darren Glass for his stellar efforts in defence (honestly is there anything that man can’t do) and midfielders Shuey, Priddis and Scott Selwood for being massive ball winners.

Honourable mentions also go to Sharrod Wellingham for making it through his first game for West Coast post-injury and making a huge impact; and of course, last but not least, a very enthusiastic thumbs-up to Sir Nic Naitanui. I can’t believe how mental you guys went when he got subbed in in the third quarter. Shaz Wellingham said himself this week that he thought something was going on behind play the way you guys were carrying on like pork chops, but then realised it was just Nic running out on to the ground.

You guys certainly know how to support your boys, and for that I say awesome job.

So looking ahead! Guys, I might just be drunk on confidence and general happy vibes from last Sunday, but I reckon we got this in the bag. We’ve got a few of our key players back from injury, we’ve shaken off any jitters we’ve had about our goal-kicking accuracy – clearly, with Sunday’s efforts – and I think that after the Doggy demolition, our boys are flying high and ready to rumble in Brissie.

So I’m going to say confidently that West Coast will walk away with the four points on Saturday.

Make sure you guys are tuning in to catch the victory, and go Eagles.

Love Rick
