Friday night footy, does it get any better. The answer is no, in case you were wondering. Tomorrow night under lights the West Coast Eagles go head to head with the Kangaroos, and let me tell you kids, I couldn’t be more pumped.
Here’s why.
Have you seen our injury list? It’s slowly getting shorter and shorter. And Mark Nicoski is a shot to hit the field again, so I am quietly giddy with excitement.
Also, we are back on track folks. After a rough trot to the start the season, we’ve strung together a couple of wins and have found our stride again.
And from a tactical point of view, last time we met the Roos was an elimination final at Patersons where we destroyed them by almost 100 points. Prior to that, we ventured all the way to Hobart in round 15 where we defeated them by two points. And our encounter before that was back in round six where we demolished them by 25 points.
So guys, all I’m sayin’ is that we may have this one locked away. No discredit to the Roos, they are a quality side. But we have a good recent track record against them; we’re soaring on confidence now that we’ve got our groove back, Stella style; and we’re at home.
West Coast for the win, no question about it. Can’t wait to see you all on Friday night.
