The Eagles Rock My School program made its way to Koomgamia today to visit ‘old friends’ at Clayton View Primary School.

An extremely enthusiastic and very well behaved group of students listened intently as the team took the kids through the importance of making smart choices, but launched into a raucous cheer when Rick the Rock Eagle made his first appearance.

After a false start when Rick went hunting a few non-Eagles fans and vigorously shook his tail feather, he settled into his work to help explain why we include people in games and how we have to look after our friends and acquaintances. Rick also learnt that solving problems often requires some thought (rather than strength!).

Many thanks to everyone at Clayton View, especially Deputy Jo Turner, for making us so welcome.
