Woah what a week it’s been!

First thing’s first, the footy. Really tough loss to one of the best in the competition,  Geelong. If injury troubles weren’t enough, a few of the boys were crook with a stomach bug over the weekend, it actually forced Matty Rosa out of the game completely!

Josh Hill’s goal was a super highlight, dribbling its way along to go through for a great goal! After watching the first quarter, I thought it was going to be a tight game, but the Cats were simply too good.

After the weekend, things got a lot better, as I got to host Rick’s Rookies Coaching Clinic (great name huh?!) at Aquinas College on Monday.

There were more than 400 junior fans at the clinic, learning how to kick, pass, tackle and more! I met plenty of them, but did get a bit sunburnt.

There were plenty of Eagles players in attendance, I saw Crippa running a goal kicking drill, Luke Shuey with the handball target at Brad Sheppard with the tackling bags, so much fun!

Now let’s get back to business – Port Adelaide are here on Saturday.

Before we get to the game- the office said there are plenty of tickets available, so get yours to come to the game this weekend! Zana from tickets said go to the Ticketmaster website to find them! (www.ticketmaster.com.au)

Round five will be a really big test for the team, and with our players coming back from injury and suspension, the Eagles are ready for a big win.

The Eagles have a good record against Port at home, beating them six of the last seven matches at Patersons Stadium. The Eagles have a great record in hit-outs, with ruckmen Dean Cox and Nic Naitanui placing the team at third in the league, while the Power are in 13th place.

Look out for Port Adelaide’s Justin Westhoff in the forward line, who is ranked as the best player in the side, on the Official AFL Player Ratings.

One more thing to add about the game this weekend, get ready for a special three-quarter time dance! Get your tickets and I’ll see you there!

That’s all from me.

Happy Easter,

Love Rick
