Rick’s ready for round ten!

Well folks it’s been nice to have a week off, but I’m ready to get back into footy!

This week we have the Collingwood Magpies at the MCG. I’ll be down there for the game and looking forward to meeting fans who have made the trip from WA or who live in Victoria. The more the merrier!

The big news of the week is that my very good friend Nic Naitanui has signed with the club for five more years! Nic and I are always hanging out at the club and at community events, and I love watching him play. From taking amazing marks to mind-blowing tackles, Nic Nat is an excitement machine on the field!

Let’s talk Pies, not meat pies, but Magpies. The MCG has always been a tough ground to face the Pies, we have won only one of our last ten games at the venue. The Eagles did win their in their last game at the MCG, in round two against Melbourne, so hopefully we’re still in the winning mood!

AFL fans might have trash-talked the Eagles goal kicking this season, but Collingwood have a worse record, kicking just 41.7% of majors, while the Eagles are up at 49.8% (helped by their efforts against GWS, mostly by Mr 11.0 Josh Kennedy!)

The Eagles will be looking out for danger-man Dane Swan, who has a reputation as a game-changer. We need big performances from Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling, to thread some goals and take away a win!

If you are in Melbourne, be sure to stop by at our open training session, at Junction Oval on Friday from 4:10 p.m.

Go Eagles!

Love Rick
