Collingwood. Brutal.

I still can’t believe that game! It was so exciting and so close, we only just missed out on the four points. It was a long flight back to Perth, especially for Elliot “Gappy” Yeo.

But his teeth are fixed now and we’re onto the next game, the Kangaroos.

We have won our last five matches against North Melbourne and will be looking to make it six on Sunday. Our record at home is very strong against the Roos, we’ve won 12 of 16 games played here at Patersons Stadium.

We’ve had a bucket-load of close games this season and in my humble opinion, we are ready for a clutch win. The boys know the feeling of dropping a knife-edge game and they will be keen to avoid it this weekend.

There are a lot of good signs for the Eagles, with stars like Nic Nat, Josh Kennedy and Shannon Hurn in great form, to say nothing of the relentless Matt Priddis. Pridda was outstanding against the Pies and I expect him to continue to be dangerous around the stoppage, with plenty of disposals.

This weekend is Indigenous Round! The guernseys look SO good! I have a particular interest, given the good-looking Waalitj (Wedge-Tailed Eagle) on the front. I know how proud all of the players are to wear it, it’s going to be a special day for the club.

See you at Patersons Stadium on Sunday! You’ll all have to be extra loud, because the North Melbourne fans travel pretty well.

Go Eagles! Go Waalitjs

Love Rick
