Happy round 14 folks!

What a win! Talk about getting your heart rate going.

If I had nails, I would have bitten them all off. But lucky for me I’ve got talons and there’s no biting those.

I was so glad to see the youngsters Lycett and McGovern step up late in the game. Showing their composure and their ability to play the big moments gives you an idea about their potential as great players for the club.

Moving on!

The boys fly to Melbourne this week to do battle with the Saints at Etihad.

We beat St. Kilda in round three, so we’ll be looking for a repeat.

Our 25-point win in April featured a ripper game by Matty Priddis who had 28 possessions. Pridda is in red-hot form and will be looking to get plenty of the footy again this week!

Some other notes for the Eagles include our accuracy in front of the sticks, led by our new captain Josh Kennedy. Hopefully he continues his good form and kicks another bag!

Some sad news - I just heard from the footy department that our open training session in Melbourne has been cancelled, but don’t worry I’ll still be at the game and at our post-game function at Etihad Stadium.

I look forward to seeing all of our Victorian fans, and those who make the trip over from WA.

Let’s sing the song again, go Eagles!

Love Rick
