So, here we have it, the Tigers are back in town.

Boy oh boy do we want to beat them.

Before we get to that, my apologies for such a late blog post, I've only just finished wiping my tears away about Deano. I mean, we all knew he was going to retire, but it's still a shock when it happens.

What a player and what a guy. When he first got here, he was just a lanky country kid who couldn't run. He ends his career as one of the finest ruckmen to ever play the game. His experience, presence and loyalty to the club will continue to be part of his legacy as he moves into full-time coaching next year.

Coxy has been such a mentor to so many young players at the club, with the likes of Nic Nat, Scotty Lycett and Cal Sinclair to receive the best of his footy knowledge.

So fans, I encourage every one of you to get out to a game today and in the next few weeks, as this legend will only pull on the blue and gold a few more times.

Sob, sob sob!

Back to Richmond. They're on a bit of a roll and will be looking to continue. They've got a dangerous midfield and a big hunger to win. A strong start from the Eagles will be important put the pressure on the visitors.

The boys will receive a boost down back with Mitch Brown returning, one up front with JK and of course, big Deano through the middle. Shannon Hurn will captain the side and will be looking to improve the forward delivery into our dangerous goal-kickers.

So get out to Subi and come watch Friday night Footy!

Go Eagles!

Love Rick
