Hello Rock-Bloggers!

It’s been a big week. After a devastating loss the Bombers, we have rebounded with a really positive week for the club.

Firstly, we signed three big guns for the future. Jack Darling, Scott Lycett and Andrew Gaff are a trio packed with talent, ability and ambition. To have signed all three of them is really important for the footy club, because we want to develop a really strong team for the future.

Jack Darling is our most agile forward, his pace, power and straight kick are vital to the frontline success of the Eagles. Scotty Lycett is a ruckman with a big future and is developing around two of the games’ best, in Dean Cox and Nic Naitanui. Andrew Gaff is a running machine and is developing into a hardy and reliable mid.

Yesterday was another important day for the Club as the coaches, players and staff completed the Ice Bucket Challenge for MND. Motor Neurone Disease affects the West Coast Eagles family in a very personal way, so the entire club was pleased to participate and donate to a really important cause.

The video was awesome, if you haven’t seen it, you should really get onto our website and take a look!

Back to the footy! This week we take on the Dees. Last time we played Melbourne we came away with a big win at the MCG.

There’s been plenty of football since round two and I think we should be right to come away with the chocolates. Look for big performances from Matt Priddis, Eric Mackenzie and of course, the big man, Dean Cox.

I still can’t believe it’s #KingCox’s last game! They’re selling special t-shirts in the team store, and I’m definitely going to get my hands on one! Such a great player and a stand-up guy!

Well, before I get too emotional, that’s it from me.

Go Eagles!

Love Rick.
