After injuring his finger at training last week, big man Callum Sinclair is expected to be back in action by mid-January.

Club physiotherapist Paul Tucker told Eagle Eye TV that the aspiring ruckman would not be able to handle a football for six weeks.

“On one hand, Callum didn’t fracture his finger or do any damage to the tendons,” Tucker said.

“But he did dislocate it and that required a washout and some repair work on the finger.”

Rookie-listed Corey Adamson also suffered a setback earlier in the week, straining a hamstring during a training session, but Tucker said with the Christmas break coming up, he would not miss too much.

“Fortunately for Corey, it was a very minor hamstring on Monday,” Tucker said.

“The expectation is that come the fifth on January, we’ll just have to sign off on a couple of things and then he’ll join the main group.”

Tucker also confirmed that senior players Eric Mackenzie (hip), Matt Rosa (pectoral muscle) and Sharrod Wellingham (knee) were tracking well after procedures during the off-season.

All three are expected to join the main training group in early January.
