The West Coast Eagles have swooped into Bunbury for the 2015 AFL Community Camp.

With the exception of a small rehab group, the full playing list yesterday began a two-day trip to the south-west port city, visiting schools and community centres.

The squad was split into groups and covered the town.

With 18 visits scheduled before lunch, the boys were guests at primary and high schools where they discussed a range of issues. The dialogue between the players and students covered goal setting, time management, living a healthy lifestyle, leadership and making responsible choices.

In the afternoon, the Eagles dropped in on a range of community centres and aged care facilities, interacting with many loyal West Coast fans.

Later, the squad descended upon Hands Oval, home of South Bunbury Football Club.

Assistant coaches Adrian Hickmott and Jaymie Graham ran a coaching clinic for the South West Football Development Squad, focusing on ball movement, tackling and disposal techniques.

Adam Simpson, Don Pyke and Adam Selwood held forums, discussing the West Coast approach to leadership with South West athletes, students and coaches.

The players were also in attendance at the oval for a signing session, with hundreds of Bunbury fans turning out for photos, autographs and a chat with their favourite Eagles.

Day one wrapped up with a panel night held at the South West Italian Club.

New captain Shannon Hurn joined Matt Priddis, Nic Naitanui and Josh Kennedy to discuss the pre-season, new recruits and the 2015 campaign.
