Hey guys!
So, here it is. Best week of the entire year. DERBY! I’m so excited, I haven’t been able to sleep for days. I’ve got a really good feeling about Sunday. The forecast is perfect, the team is up and about after last week’s thumping of Carlton, and I’m ready to hear the roar of the Domain Stadium crowd.
Speaking of last week’s win, how good is my old mate Josh Kennedy (or should that be Josh “TENnedy”??) – 10 goals! Not a bad effort hey? That’s the THIRD time he’s kicked 10 or more goals in a match, can you believe that stat? It sure was enjoyable to watch from the stands. My three-quarter time dance was definitely one of my best yet.
The fun didn’t end on Friday night, because just the other day was of course my Rick’s Rookies Coaching Clinic for 2015. It was fantastic to see so many of you guys, my Rookie mates, over at Aquinas College on Monday. You guys really showed the players up with your mad skills (or should that be skillz?)! I definitely picked out a few potential future draftees. In case you haven’t seen them already, you can click here to view some pics from the day. The next Rick’s Rookies event will be in the July school hols, so tell your mum and dad to keep an eye on their emails for more details about that.
Anyway, I hope I’ll see as many of you as possible at Sunday’s Carlton Draught Derby. Don’t forget, we have heaps of stuff happening before the game at gate 10’s Fan Zone, including the best bit – a FREE souvenir “The West Is Ours” flag! I want to see the entire stadium waving their flags during the match. Let’s show the Dockers we have the best fans in the world!
