Casting votes in the John Worsfold Medal is going to be tough for the match committee after Sunday’s thrilling victory against Port Adelaide.

Luke Shuey, Matt Priddis, Chris Masten, Andrew Gaff, Sharrod Wellingham, Jeremy McGovern and Will Schofield all produced performances off the top shelf.

But best-on-ground status probably belongs to Mark LeCras.

Who was West Coast's most valuable player on Sunday? Have your say

Spending more time through the midfield than in his traditional role as a sharp-shooter inside the attacking 50-metre arc, LeCras was all quality.

He gave the Port midfield something unique to deal with because of his exquisite kicking skills.

LeCras had 28 possessions and because of the efficiency of his ball use, ensured the Port defence was consistently under pressure.

He also relishes the contest inside the congestion and is one reason the West Coast midfield has become a telling factor in recent matches.

Of course, the aforementioned Messrs Shuey, Priddis, Masten, Gaff, Dom Sheed and Liam Duggan have done their bit as well, which is why it has become so potent.
