G’day Eagles fans!

I hope you are all as PUMPED UP about this Sunday’s match as I am. It’s going to be a ripper!

First, we need to chat about last week’s fantastic win against the Saints. How good were the guys, right? I’m especially liking the work of young Liam Duggan – kid is a gun, hey? For mine, he was completely robbed in not grabbing that Rising Stars nomination for the round. Might have to go have a word to those blokes at AFL house to see what they’re thinking!

And on to this weekend: the puddy Cats, as I like to call them. They have a pretty good record against us in recent times, so it’s definitely going to be a test to see where our guys are at. I have faith! I’ve been getting amongst it at training this week, just trying to pump the guys up even further, ‘cause I just need to keep that victory dance going.

But it’s a big game outside of the action on-field too, because we honour Indigenous Round this week. It’s a very important tradition now at Domain, where we can pay tribute to Indigenous players, past and present, who make their incredible contribution to the game and our club.

To celebrate, there’ll be a bit happening around the ground, so make sure you head on down early to check it all out. My mates from the Wirrpanda Foundation will be here with a range of merchandise to raise funds for their important work. There’ll also be Indigenous performers at all the main gates prior to the match – be sure to check them out.

Finally, you’ll see me (oh, and the players too) in a different guernsey this week - our special edition Indigenous guernsey, which has a very meaningful story behind its design.

Thanks for checking in with me each week Rock-bloggers. We love your support, so keep backing the boys in!

GO EAGLES!
