West Coast kicked-off 2016 in style at its annual free member movie night at the Burswood Community Cinemas last Saturday night.

More than 900 members came out in force for the first event of the New Year, a screening of the Disney/Pixar classic, Toy Story.

Burswood Parklands provided a fantastic backdrop for the family-friendly event and members made the most of it, arriving early to watch the sunset fall upon the Swan River.

Young Eagles fans grabbed complimentary balloon animals from movie stars Woody and Jessie and got their faces painted in West Coast’s revered blue and gold before the film.

Rick the Rock made a guest appearance and was noticeably excited to reaquaint himself with members after the Christmas break.

Rick also chose the winner of the evening’s best dressed contest, Charlotte, who was not only decked out head-to-toe in everything Eagles, but also cut out and painted a big Eagles 2016 Premiership Cup for the occasion.

As the sun started to set members kicked back on their picnic rugs and bean bags to enjoy the free movie.

If you missed the event, don’t worry, all members and fans are invited to join the club for its annual free Fan Fair, which will be held at Kitchener Park before West Coast’s NAB Challenge match against Essendon on Sunday, March 13.
