Howdy Rock Bloggers!

How was your first day back at school? I bet it was great catching up with all of your friends again after an awesome summer break. When you go in tomorrow you can tell all your buddies that Rick the Rock has been watching the Eagles train and he says that we’re in tip-top shape!

It’s been a big week here down at Domain Stadium with sons of former West Coast Eagles legends taking part in a two-day training camp. I popped my head in and it was great seeing football being played by people with the last names of Jakovich, Mainwaring and Kemp on the oval again. Fingers crossed that there are some brilliant father-son picks coming to the Eagles in the next few years.

Some of the current players are getting ready to fly to country WA for our community camps. For all my junior buddies in Kalgoorlie, Port Hedland or Newman, keep your eyes open for some really tall guys walking around with West Coast Eagles shirts on. If you see one of the boys, be sure to say hi!

Anyway, I’ve got to fly. But guess what? It’s only 19 more sleeps until our first NAB Challenge match of the season. Gee, it comes around fast.

Until next week – have an awesome time.

Love Rick
