Hi Rock-Bloggers!

How have you been? I bet you’re looking forward to school holidays, I know I am. Not long to go now! I can’t wait to say g’day to all my little buddies at the game this week. We didn’t have a win yesterday, but we’ll move on quickly and look ahead because we’re playing Fremantle this week!

It’s always a big week when we take on the boys down the road. Can you believe that this is the 43rd time we’ve played Fremantle? I wasn’t even born when we first had a match against them, and I don’t think any of my littlest buddies would have been either.

I’ve spoken to a few of the boys and girls around the club and I’ve heard stories of the first time we played them. They tell me that the grass was so green it was like a golf course, and that we played soooo well. If you’ve heard of an Eagles player called Brett Heady, you’ll probably know that he played in our first two premierships… but on that day against Fremantle, he was on fire! Brett kicked five goals and took a massive mark that made everybody jump out of their seats.

I’m crossing my feathers hoping that we’ve got more than a few players who play as well as Brett Heady did that day. If we do, I’m sure our boys will be flying all over the ground and that we’ll have a great win.

Anyway, it’s time for me to go to training, so I’d better say goodbye. Make sure you come and say g’day to me on Saturday night at the game!

Go Eagles!

Love Rick
