Join Eagles players Sam Butler, Mark LeCras, and Matt Priddis and their mums at the Matilda Bay Restaurant on Thursday, May 5 for a cooked breakfast from 7.15am.

Last year’s event was filled with laughter and fun, with the players attending taking part in a Q&A session where their mums get to reveal all the stories of how the boys were when they were young.

The money raised from this event is taken directly to Cambodia to support the children in The Missionaries of Charity and Sunrise Cambodia.

Pam Stratford, mother of West Coast Eagles Sam Butler, says it’s a great morning to get together and celebrate all the mums but also raise money for a wonderful cause.

“We’ve been raising money on an annual basis and then going up to Cambodia,” she said.

“Handing that money over to the two orphanages we support and also a women’s hospital that has been built up there.

“We’ve raised about $85,000 over the last three years.

“My little saying is ‘we can change one child at a time’.”

Sam Butler, who’s been to Cambodia twice before, encouraged everyone to get to the breakfast to help support the initiative.

“A bunch of mums have gone up there over the last few years, they’ve been so enthusiastic in their efforts,” he said.

“I’ve seen them in action up there, to raise that much money is unbelievable.

“This year will be the fourth year running for the breakfast, last year we had around 125 people there, so I think everyone should get along to have a fun morning and support a great cause.
