What’s up Rock-blogger buddies! Hands up if you’re on school holidays? Wow, that’s a lot of you. Here’s hoping that Mum and Dad have got a couple of weeks of blockbuster fun lined up. Fingers crossed you get to stay warm whatever it is that you’re doing!

It seems ages ago that we last played, but it was only last Thursday! The boys were a bit rusty, that’s for sure, but when they kicked into gear in the last quarter, boy it was great to watch. It was so awesome to see my mate Patrick McGinnity come into the side and play so well. He’s a great guy, and to see him kick four goals made me pretty happy.

Did you know that it’s the AFL’s Multicultural Round this weekend? It’s a round where we pay tribute to all of the cultures around the world who’ve played a big part in our game. If you’re coming along to Domain Stadium on Sunday you’ll notice some super-sweet celebrations taking place around the ground, so be sure to keep your eyes open, and you might even run into me!

It’s a big game this weekend as we take on the Kangaroos. They’re playing some good footy and I think they might still be a little angry at us after beating them in last year’s preliminary final! All the boys better be sure they’re on guard right from the start.

Now, before I go, I’d better check and see how many of you are coming along to my Rick’s Rookies Draft Combine tomorrow. If you’re coming along, we’ve got some nifty activities for you to take part in, and you might even get to say g’day to a few of the players (and me of course)!

If you’re not coming along tomorrow, that’s ok. There are still plenty of opportunities to say hi to me through the rest of the year, and I’ll have my birthday party in December.

Until next week, it’s “ciao” from me!

Love Rick
