How are my Rock-Blogger buddies doing?

It’s been a while since I said g’day. Things have been so busy in my world, and I guess with school starting back, you have been busy as well!

I guess we’ll start with the big news that footy’s back, yay!! Our boys had to travel pretty far on the weekend, heading across to the lovely New South Wales town of Narrandera for a match against GWS.

Sure, the result didn’t give us a win, but I watched the game and came away smiling more than a few times, especially at how well some of our new recruits played. I loved watching Francis Watson patrol the backline, and he took some great marks for someone who had never played for the Eagles before.

We didn’t have many older guys play on the day, but those who did led the team well, especially Sharrod Wellingham and Dom Sheed (who really isn’t that old when you think about it). If they can keep their good form up, then 2017 might just be a cracker of a year. If you want read some more about the match, then make sure you click here and read our match report.

Now, can you guess where I’ll be this weekend? I’ll give you a hint, we’re playing a game against Fremantle there on Saturday. That’s right, I’m heading up to Geraldton to watch the guys, and help out with our Community Camp on Sunday. So if you’re going to the game, make sure you come up, give me a massive high five and tell me all about your holidays and how it is back at school. I really like hearing stories about how much my littlest bestest buddies are doing at school.

Before I go, have you asked Mum and Dad to bring you along to Fan Day? It’s on March 11, and if you come along you’ll have just the best time ever. You can say hi to me, maybe meet a few players and get some autographs. It’ll be awesome. You don’t have to buy tickets or book a spot, all you have to do is show up on the day.

Anyway, I had better head off. My pre-season training is still going well, but I definitely need to head back and do some weights to build up the strength in my wings.

Until next time, keep rocking!
