West Coast kicked off the second day of its 2017 Australia Post AFL Community Camp with an open Captain's Run at Wonthella Oval.

A large contingent of loyal Eagles fans flocked to the home ground of Towns Football Club to get a glimpse of their favourite players as skipper Shannon Hurn put them through their paces in 36 degree heat.

Players made their way to the boundary following the short but sharp 50-minute session to sign autographs for their adoring fans before heading to Aquarena for a post-training recovery session.

After a brief lunch break the squad hit the road again to visit severl schools, aged care facilites and Hospitals.

Local favourites Josh Kennedy and Jamie Cripps timed their run to St John of God hospital perfectly and got to cradle newly minted Eagles' fan Lily.

Further north in Karratha, Francis Watson, Tom Gorter, Malcolm Karpany, Tom Lamb, Tarir Bayok and Paddy Brophy dropped in to see some very appreciative fans at Nikol Bay Hospital before helping out at a clinic at Roebourne District High School.

Back in Geraldton, skipper Shannon Hurn and soon-to-be Eagles debutant Sam Mitchell popped in to the local Bankwest branch to see how the club's major sponsor operates in the Mid-West.

Nathan Vardy, Eric Mackenzie, Jack Darling and Jack Redden also popped into the town's local McDonalds on Chapman Road to sign autographs for fans.
