The West Coast Eagles and Cancer Council WA will celebrate the 13th instalment of its Dig Deep campaign during Saturday’s clash with Carlton at Domain Stadium.

Cancer Council WA ambassadors Luke Shuey and Andrew Gaff are calling on all fans to help the club collect another $100,000 for the worthy charity.

To date, the Dig Deep campaign has raised more than $1.3 million for Cancer Council WA.

Shuey hoped the 13th edition of the campaign would be the best yet.

“Whether it’s on or off the football field, you’ve got to dig deep to get good results,” Shuey said.

“We hope this campaign, like the 12 that have gone before it, can offer some support to the 12,000 Western Australians diagnosed with cancer every year.

“I wear the number 13 because, unlike a lot of people, I think it’s a lucky number. I think it bodes well for the 13th Dig Deep campaign.”

Dig Deep volunteers will be selling mini footballs and accepting donations outside Domain Stadium and within the grounds during breaks in play on Saturday.

Gaff encouraged all members and fans to give generously.

“In terms of charitable causes, this is our grand final,” Gaff said.

“If everyone could dig deep into their wallets and give what they can it would be much appreciated. Join us in the fight against cancer”
