How are my awesome rock-blogger buddies?

Hopefully the Winter isn’t being too cold or wet for you. Luckily for us the rain held off on Saturday night for our match against Carlton. I was crossing my feathers that the bad weather would hold off, and my wish came true. Definitely didn’t want to fly home with drenched feathers, that’s for sure.

Did you know it was a bit of a special night for me on the weekend against the Blues? That’s right, it was my 250th match running onto the ground. I even had a special banner made up for the occasion. To all of my little buddies that came and said hello and gave me a high five before the match – you’re the best. You make my job the best in the whole wide world!

But enough about me – how about the boys on the weekend? It’s been a tough few weeks, but they bounced back against Carlton thanks to my mate JK. Another six goals to the big fella. He’s just too cool, and we’re lucky to have him in our side.

Before I look ahead to next week, I just wanted to give a shout out to my new best buddies Austin and Archie, who I met before the match and helped me run through the banner. Both boys love the Eagles, and I don’t know if you’ll be able to find two bigger Eagles fans.

Now, we’ve got a massive couple of weeks coming up and we definitely need all of your support to get over the line against the Giants and the Crows, and get ourselves into another finals series.

So make sure that wherever you are on Saturday, you’ve got all of your blue and gold gear on, and rest your voice before then because we’ll need everyone to cheer loudly for us, and that includes Mum, Dad, any brothers or sisters that you might have. Even get your dog or cat to cheer for us if you like!

Until next time, stay well, cheer loudly, and most importantly… GO EAGLES!!
