Luke Shuey was one of only two players to receive maximum votes in the opening week of the finals, giving him a head start in the race for the Gary Ayres Award for the best finals player in the eyes of the coaches.

Shuey scored a perfect 10 votes for his 32-disposal, 11-tackle and two-goal effort against Port Adelaide on Saturday night.
