Port Adelaide midfielder Brendon Ah Chee has requested a trade to the West Coast Eagles

Out-of-contract Port Adelaide midfielder Brendon Ah Chee has nominated West Coast as his club of choice for next season.

AFL.com.au reported last week the 23-year-old wanted to leave the Power to play more senior football, having managed just five games this season.

Port list manager Jason Cripps told reporters at Etihad Stadium on Monday for the launch of the NAB AFL Trade Period that the Eagles were interested in bringing Ah Chee over to them.

"Ah Chee has indicated that he wants to get to West Coast," Cripps said.

"West Coast has got some interest in securing his services, so we'll just continue to work through with them to see if we can facilitate a deal, but today's discussion wasn't in any great detail."
