Mark LeCras headlines a long list of Eagles who are poised to reach significant milestones in season 2018.

West Coast’s third-most prolific goal kicker of all time needs to take the field on four occasions to become just the 20th Eagle to notch 200 games for the club.

Two other player who could notch a double ton of games for this club this year: Josh Kennedy and Chris Masten.

Kennedy is just 15 games shy of playing his 200th game as an Eagle. He is also seven straight kicks away from becoming West Coast’s all-time leading goal kicker.

Masten needs 26 appearances to achieve the feat. For that to occur, the Eagles would have to feature in at least three finals and the outside runner would need to play twice as many matches as he did last year.

Three Eagles are in line to earn life membership with the club in 2018.

Eric Mackenzie (147 games) and Nic Naitanui (146) only need to strap the boots on three and four times respectively to reach one of the club’s most coveted honours, while Brad Sheppard (131) needs 19 more appearances in blue and gold to join the illustrious group of past and present players.

The achievement would be all the more special for Mackenzie and Naitanui given they recently endured career-threatening knee reconstructions.

Mackenzie ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during a pre-season match against Carlton in 2015, while Naitanui missed West Coast’s entire 2017 campaign after damaging his ACL against Hawthorn in round 22 of season 2016.

Several West Coast players are also on the cusp of registering 100 and 50-game milestones for the club this year.

Elliot Yeo (80 West Coast games) is just 20 games short of playing 100 games in blue and gold, Jeremy McGovern (79 games) needs 21 more matches to raise the bat, while Mark Hutchings (75) needs the club to have a good year if he wants to register 100 appearances in the game’s elite level.

Liam Duggan (46 games) is just four games shy of registering 50 games as an Eagle, whereas his housemate Jackson Nelson and fellow defender Tom Barrass each need to play 18 games to notch a half century of AFL appearances.

Jack Redden (34 games) is close to become a 50-game Eagle, whereas Lewis Jetta would need to play 25 times this year to match his fellow 2015 off-season recruit.
