Draft bio:

The brother of Brisbane star Charlie is a clever and creative small forward who has pace and is dynamic around goal. His five goals for Western Australia in this year’s NAB AFL Under-18 Championships against Victoria Country highlighted his potential. Eligible to go to West Coast under the Next Generation Academy rules.

What he said:

"It was pretty nerve-wracking having Brisbane bid for me. Then when West Coast matched the bid I was just so stoked. It’s great that I get to stay in my home state and play for such a successful club. But i definitely had a few nerves when Brisbane popped up."

"I guess I do get an advantage over the other draftees knowing a lot of the Eagles players and using their facilities here over the past year. No doubt that will make the transition into the club a little easier."

"Working out with (Next Generation Academy head coach Drew Petrie) one-on-one, once a week was just some of the greatest moments - moments I won't forget. He’s just such a great bloke, easy to approach and if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be in this position right now."

"Coming to the club after a premiership, it’s just such an exciting opportunity, especially working with the likes of Willie Rioli and Liam Ryan. Spending my career alongside them would be amazing. I would love to be more of a hybrid player when I'm settled in my career. Although I have spent a lot of time forward over the past few years, I have the ability to push up into an outside midfielder role when required."

"I think I need to hit the gym and develop a bit more size to play at AFL. That’s probably the number one goal at the moment. The pipes are looking okay, but I certainly have a long way to go to match it with others in the league."
