Hutch has supported the club since its inception, and this week he celebrates his 103rd birthday.
In an effort to ensure that this birthday was a memorable one, the West Coast Eagles sent Chris Masten and Luke Shuey to pay Hutch a surprise visit.
The midfield duo headed down to Bethanie Joondanna to surprise the birthday boy, armed with gifts from the West Coast Eagles Team Store.
“It was really good to see Hutch, I met him a few years ago through the club as well,” Masten said.
“He’s pretty spritely for an old fella, he’s in very good knick. I hope I’m in that good a shape when I’m his age.”
