With three children under the age of five, HBF Health Fit Fan Matthew Kelly doesn’t tend to get much time for himself. But he’s determined to make a change, for the sake of his kids.

“I knew I wanted to make a change when I realised I couldn’t keep up with the kids in chasey! I wasn’t participating with them as much as I wanted to, but I knew that if I got up off the couch I could make the changes to myself that would make that possible. It was just a case of finding the motivation to do it!”

That’s where HBF Health Fit Fans came in.

“With the push from Fit Fans, I realised that it’s not about not having enough time for yourself in order to exercise, it’s about making the best of your time. I now work out three times a week before the kids are awake, so I can fit that in without sacrificing my precious time with them.”

Matthew’s keen to be a role model for his kids – and his new routine seems to be doing just that.

“They are now talking about Daddy doing exercise and even mimicking me when I do my situps or stretches! I want them to think of exercise as a regular part of life rather than out of the ordinary, and get them into positive habits early. I just want to give them the best chance I can in life – and I think I’m doing just that.”
