After the success of Border Patrol in 2012, West Coast Eagles inaugural captain Ross Glendinning is eager to do it all again in 2013.

Border Patrol, which is proudly supported by Toyota WA, saw Glendinning, along with past West Coast greats such as Glen Jakovich, Phil Narkle and Ashley Hansen, hit the road to various regional towns in WA.

Glendinning explains that the aim of the program was to reach West Coast fans all over the state, and it more than succeeded, with supporters turning up in droves to meet the travelling party at each stop.

“Border Patrol was a huge success this year,” the former Brownlow medallist says.

“Starting a brand new program is always daunting, you don’t know it’s going to go in its first year.

“But in its first year, Border Patrol was a great success. Fans all the way from Albany to Broome turned out to see us, have photos, kick the footy and enjoy a barbeque at Toyota dealerships all over the state.

“We also visited a number of schools with the Border Patrol program, and the reception from students was fantastic.

“We’re definitely eager to hit the road again in 2013 for Border Patrol after the fantastic result we had this year.”
