Eagles' premiership star Dwayne Lamb has been recognised as one of the state's finest footballers when he was inducted into the WA Football Hall of Fame last night.
The Bellevue Ballroom in the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre laid host to many stars of our great game including Ross Glendinning, John Todd, John Worsfold, Barry Cable and Bill Walker.
A very proud Lamb was thrilled to be rewarded for his contribution to WA football, proudly representing the West Coast Eagles (151 games) and the Subiaco Football Club (190 games) between 1980 to 1996.
The work-horse midfielder, who booted 44 goals at the highest level, showcases a pretty impressive trophy cabinet which includes threeSubiaco fairest and best awards (1982, 1984, 1985), a premiership with Subiaco (1986), a flag with the West Coast Eagles (1992), a Simpson Medal (1988) and selection into Subiaco's Team of the Century in 2008.
Lamb was one of nine players honoured on the night along with Frank Treasure (South Fremantle), Terry Moriarty (Perth), Wally Price (West Perth), John Cooper (Swan Districts), Percey Johnson (East Fremantle, Swan Districts, Claremont), Les Mumme (Claremont), Gary Malarkey (East Perth, Geelong) and Mark Bairstow (South Fremantle, Geelong).
Haydn Bunton was also inducted as the 13th legend into the WA Football Hall of Fame
