Welcome to Eagles In Their Prime, a joint initiative between the Seniors Recreation Council of WA (SRCWA) and the West Coast Eagles which aims to encourage members aged 65+ to remain healthy, active and sociable through a range of activities.
The SRCWA is recognised as the peak body for organisations supporting seniors' involvement in sport and recreation. The Council is constantly reviewing its strategies to increase the participation of seniors in sport, recreation and associated physical and mental activity.
Eagles In Their Prime provides some of our club’s more senior members with opportunities to socialise, while trying different activities and gaining new skills.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY - Wednesday, July 4, 2018
Always a popular event, West Coast Eagles members are invited to bring their grandchildren to club HQ (subject to building works) over the school holidays to have a go at a number of different activities together, including seated hockey, exergaming, set shot practice and lots more. There are prizes to be won, familiar faces to be seen, and the chance to discover what’s going on behind the scenes at the West Coast Eagles – always a winner with the grandkids!

TECH SAVVY SENIORS – commences Tuesday, July 31, 2018 for five weeks
For the past few years, the SRCWA has been quenching a thirst for knowledge among some of the West Coast Eagles’ senior members to master modern technology. In partnership with Telstra and the West Coast Eagles, SRCWA continues to deliver technology-based workshops specifically for seniors. The aim of this five-week workshop, tailored for Eagles fans, is to help break down barriers and close the gap created by the ever increasing digital divide experienced by the older generation, who in most cases have had minimal exposure to current technology.
Tech Savvy Seniors commences Tuesday, July 31, 2018 and runs every Tuesday morning in August 2018, at West Coast Eagles HQ (subject to building works).

HAVE A GO DAY – Wednesday, November 14, 2018
Join the West Coast Eagles and thousands of enthusiastic seniors taking part in a range of activities at the picturesque Burswood Park. Enjoy refreshments and demonstrations at hospitality tents around the grounds, and be entertained throughout the day by dance groups and performances. Come down to say hello and have a go at something new!

Email invitations for Grandparents’ Day and Tech Savvy Seniors will be sent out six weeks prior to the event date.
For further information about these events, please contact the Membership Services Centre on (08) 9388 4566 or membership@westcoasteagles.com.au.
While we recognise that we are limited by space at our Subiaco club headquarters to hold these events, our proposed 2019 move to new facilities at Lathlain Park will allow the club to run similar community events more frequently. At Lathlain, we will have larger and more flexible community spaces that will allow the senior community greater access to take part in preventative health and fitness activities, education sessions and inter-generational social events.
