The club has a full time employment opportunity for a Technology Support to provide shared services to the Wirrapanda Foundation. The role will be part of our Infrastructure, Projects & Technology team and will be first level support to staff, conduct general ongoing maintenance and give assistance to the IT team as required.

The Wirrpanda Foundation aims to lead the provision of education and employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians by working together to empower and build capacity amongst individuals, their families and their communities.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a result driven person to apply sound technical knowledge to a wide variety of areas.

Reporting to the Systems Administrator, this role will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support, logging and updating help desk tickets
  • Providing remote support and assistance using variety of methods
  • Updating users details in Active Directory and various other systems
  • Regular Printer Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Support
  • Audio Visual Setup, pack-down and troubleshooting
  • Desktop deployment – updating drivers, upgrading BIOS and re-imaging machines.
  • Installing and troubleshooting Microsoft updates
  • Producing instructions and documentation
  • Stocktake computers & equipment and record to our online systems
  • Tape Autoloader Operation – insert and remove tapes as required
  • Order Management – dealing with suppliers, getting quotes, placing orders, checking ETA’s, filing invoices
  • Process requests for loan equipment – check in / out and follow-up as required
  • Providing general administration assistance to the Systems Administrator and the IT Team

The successful candidate should:

  • Prior experience working with Helpdesk support tools – such as SysAid or similar.
  • Demonstrated understanding and delivery of high-quality customer service
  • Demonstrated ability with using the following applications
    • Desktop Deployment Tools – such as Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • Office365
    • Basic Networking
    • Microsoft Active Directory Domains and Users & Computers
    • Microsoft Operating Systems – Windows 10
    • remote support apps – such as ConnectWise, VNC, RDP.
    • Apple MacOS would be desirable
  • Task orientated and solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Have high level of communications skills, both verbal and written,
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

There is requirement for this position to be flexible with working hours including evening and weekend work to ensure systems are updated and maintained. There is also a requirement for all full time staff to work on match days and other events as required by the club, which includes weekends. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

The club has a full time employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure, Projects & Technology team. This role requires a self-motivated person who can have an immediate impact on day to day IT operations of the club and aid existing staff with 1st / 2nd  level technical support.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a result driven person to apply sound technical knowledge to a wide variety of areas.

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Technical Support
    • Provide 1st / 2nd Level Support to the business and IT team
  • Desktop and Server deployment and development.
    • Build, maintain and deploy Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
  • Application Support
    • Monitor applications and licences in use
    • Package and deploy applications
    • Troubleshoot applications level issues or performance problems
  • System Administration – operational maintenance and upkeep to key systems
    • Desktops – Updates and security
    • Servers – both physical and virtual
    • Cloud Services and Applications
  • Compile and maintain documentation on key systems and applications Generate processes to maintain consistency across the fleet

The successful candidate should:

  • Have up to date knowledge on industry standard operating systems and applications.
  • Possess several years’ experience in technical support and systems administration.
  • Possess tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Possess Microsoft Certified System Administrator or higher qualifications.
  • Be results driven and able to apply sound technical knowledge to a wide variety of areas.
  • Have high level of communications skills, both verbal and written,
  • Task orientated and solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience in the following applications:
    • SOE Design and Architecture – Systems Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • Desktop Deployment & Maintenance – including Microsoft Deployment Toolkit / SCCM
    • SCCM Server Management.
    • Office365 / Azure.
    • PowerShell scripting.
    • Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Group Policy.
    • Operating Systems – Windows 10, Server 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, 2019, Apple MacOS. Networking – Cisco / HP
    • VMWare vSphere & vCenter
