The West Coast Eagles, in partnership with the AFL, have developed various community development and engagement programs and diversity initiatives, designed to engage culturally and linguistically diverse populations including multicultural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community groups.

The club supports the Kicking Goals and co-ordinates the Aboriginal Leadership Program which champion the value of sport and education while also teaching critical health and life skills. One of the multicultural initiatives, the AFL Multicultural Schools Program, primary objective is to assist migrant and refugee communities to access and participate in Australian football.

The club also proudly recognises the contribution Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians make to the AFL by celebrating the Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round each year with a dedicated curtain raiser benefiting the Wirrpanda Foundation.
