Eagles defender Evangeline Gooch has been charged with Striking and has accepted a one-match sanction following Saturday's loss to Adelaide.

Gooch was cited by the Match Review Officer for Striking Justine Mules during the third quarter of the round three match at the Swinburne Centre.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Intentional Conduct, Low Impact and High Contact, and classified as a one-match sanction as a first offence.

Gooch has accepted a one-match suspension with an early plea.

West Coast are set to face St Kilda at SkyBus Stadium in round three.

Adelaide's Rachelle Martin was also offered a reprimand for a Dangerous Tackle on West Coast's vice-captain Dana Hooker during the first quarter.
