Pacey midfielder Mikayla Bowen has been traded to the Geelong Cats for pick 24 in the National Draft (pick three in the West Australian Draft).

The Eagles now hold picks one, two and three from the West Australian draft pool for the upcoming season.

Bowen has been a valued member of the club over the past three seasons and was one of the of the first two players signed in West Coast's inaugural AFLW side.

Debuting in the marquee clash against Collingwood in 2020, the hard running wing went on to play every match for the season and finished in the top 10 Club Champion count.

Building on her form in 2021, Bowen was classed as a major ball winner for the season - leading the club in disposals - while also earning a selection in the extended All-Australian squad and finishing third in the club's Best and Fairest.

In the same year, Bowen was also nominated for the 2021 AFL Women's Rising Star award against Gold Coast in round five, after collecting 21 disposals, seven marks and three tackles.

The West Coast Eagles thank Mikayla Bowen for her contribution over the past three seasons and wish her luck at the Geelong Cats.

"A big thanks to Bowen for her efforts over the past three seasons," Senior coach Michael Prior said.

"We're very grateful for the hard work she's put in for us, as well as what she's given to the off-field culture.

"She's built many lifelong friendships amongst the group and has been a valued member of the club.

"We wish 'Bows' the best of luck in her future endeavours."
