NAIDOC Week is a significant time for the club as we celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of First Nations People.

The week is a great opportunity for all Australians to support and amplify the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

NAIDOC Week 2022 will be held from Sunday 3 July to Sunday 10 July.

This year’s theme – Get up! Stand up! Show up! – encourages all of us to drive change while celebrating those who continue to lead change in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities over generations.

This year also marks two significant milestones - the 50th anniversary of the Tent Embassy and the 30th anniversary of the Mabo Decision.

The West Coast Eagles have a proud and rich history of indigenous footballers.

Currently, there are six first nations players on the men's list and two in the AFLW squad.

The WAFL Eagles is also represented with Ethan Hansen having a terrific season in blue and gold.
