2019 fixture blockbusters Check out some of the headlining West Coast games in season 2019

The West Coast Eagles face a challenging fixture for the 2019 Toyota AFL Premiership season.

Reward for reaching the league’s pinnacle in 2018 will also include a greater presence on national and prime broadcast scheduling, including 11 night games.

Highlights of the 2019 campaign will include three matches at the MCG, the first Good Friday AFL game in Western Australia and the unfurling of the 2018 premiership flag in round two against the GWS Giants at Optus Stadium.

The reigning premiers will face grand finalists, Collingwood, in round three at the MCG and in round 17 at Optus Stadium. The Eagles will also play Hawthorn and Richmond at the ‘G’.

The two western derbies are slated for rounds four and 16, with the blue and gold hosting the first battle of the season.

Other opponents faced twice in the year include Adelaide, Melbourne and Hawthorn.

Victorian members will see their team visit the state six times, with additional matches at Marvel Stadium (Docklands) and a trip to GMHBA stadium in Geelong.

The Eagles will compete for premiership points at seven different venues, with trips to Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Alice Springs.

A total of five six-day breaks feature in the draw, with three of those coming off interstate trips.

There are 10 Saturday games and seven Sunday games. The Good Friday clash will also be complemented by two further Friday night games and a Thursday night match against Essendon (round 14) at home, immediately after the mid-season bye.

As in the past, the round 23 floating fixture remains to be confirmed until ladder spots are determined before finals.
