JLT2: Best Eagle afield

Sheed post-match v Dockers Midfielder Dom Sheed speaks to Eagle Eye TV after our 51 point win over Fremantle at Rushton Park

It might have been a pre-season hit-out with little riding on it, but loping left-footer Dom Sheed continues to build on his reputation as a quality midfielder.

Sheed had 40 possessions in a quality performance against the Dockers and was the linchpin of the Eagles' performance.

So often he wandered onto his left foot and delivered with purpose into the attacking 50 metre arc.

The hero of last year’s grand final victory has remained unaffected by the adulation and his form in both JLT matches has been befitting of his solid summer.

He combined with the likes of Jack Redden, with whom he shared the player of the finals in 2018, Luke Shuey and Chris Masten to provide a dominant midfield force that propelled the Eagles to a 51-point victory.
