Jack Petruccelle booted a career-best five goals against the Power on Good Friday

Eclipsed by 42 points, clearly Port Adelaide had any number of players ahead of the West Coast Eagles’ best-performed on the night.

But given the effort of Jack Petruccelle it would be remiss not to single him out for a special mention, particularly considering the imbalance of the forward 50 entries.

Port dominated that count 70-38, yet Petruccelle kicked 5.2 in a brilliant performance,

He was enough to give West Coast fans a reason to smile and get excited, a sense of expectation palpable whenever he went near the ball, the blue and gold faithful urging him to break into space and show a burst of his blinding pace.

Petruccelle got behind the Port defence a number of times, had 18 possessions and seven marks in a terrific individual display.

He also had 14 pressure acts on the night, applying his speed to assert defensive pressure as well.
