West Coast full-back Tom Barrass has been nominated for the Rebel Mark of the Year and needs your support to win the best mark from round five.

Barrass launched himself onto the back of Sydney forward Jordan Dawson, hung in the air and took a screamer during the third quarter of Saturday’s 34-point victory.

The 24-year-old tried to play down the huge grab post-match, more pleased to get a much-needed win after three-straight defeats in Queensland.

“Oh mate, it was hardly a hanger. I got a little ride on ‘Daws’ which was good to get a lick of the ice cream but more stoked about getting a win with the boys,” Barrass told ABC Grandstand.

“Probably, yes (it was my best mark). I haven’t taken too many of them so it’s nice when they pop one over the top and I get a run at it. As I said, I’ll take the lick of the ice cream.”

Barrass is up against St Kilda’s Ben Long and Fremantle’s Michael Walters to claim the round five best mark as voted by fans.

Supporters can vote for Barrass’ big hang at markoftheyear.afl/vote/round/5.

All voters who pick a weekly winner will go into the draw to win $10,000.

At the end of the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership Season the League will nominate three marks for the public to vote on for the season’s best grab.

High-flying Eagle Liam Ryan took out the award last season for his spectacular grab over Melbourne giant Max Gawn in round nine.
