Draft bio:

Mature-age defender Julie-Anne Norrish has developed into a dependable defender at WALFW level and has been among East Fremantle’s most consistent performers over the past two seasons. She has the ability to play tall and small due to her unique athletic attributes. The 23-year-old was a standout performer at the recent NAB AFLW Draft Combine, equalling Jess Allan’s vertical jump record of 61cm. She also set the fastest 20m sprint of any participant at the combine, dashing 20 metres in 3.167 seconds.

What head of female football Adam Selwood had to say:

“Julie-Anne is a really consistent, dour and reliable defender. She played on Ebony Antonio in last year’s WAFLW grand final and did a terrific job. Ever since then she has continued to impress our recruitment team with the way she goes about her football. She’s determined, she does the small things well and we think to bring someone of Julie’s calibre into our back line is fantastic. She is going to be a really sound player and a strong leader for our group.”
