A 2018 West Coast Eagles' Female Academy Member - Courtney Guard is proven to be strong in the contest and diligent in her training, forming a close connection with inaugural Eagles' captain Ross Glendinning via weekly one-on-one training sessions in 2017. A member of West Coast’s inaugural leadership group, Courtney Guard arrived at the Eagles from Fremantle with one AFLW game to her name, and made her debut in West Coast's inaugural match against Collingwood. The former basketball and athletics star adds plenty of pace to West Coast's backline, as well as providing three years and 15 games' experience to the group.
