In 2023 the West Coast Eagles entered a team into the WA Wheelchair Football League (WAWFL). The Club became the fifth team in the competition, joining WAFL clubs Perth, East Perth, Swan Districts and Subiaco.
The expansion into the wheelchair football competition is a crucial step in strengthening the Club’s existing commitment to Diversity and Inclusion as foundation partners of the WA All Abilities Football Association.
In their first season as part of the WA Wheelchair Football League, the West Coast Eagles team were hugely successful finishing in second place and forming a close bond on the court.
The West Coast Eagles Football Club acknowledge and pays respect to the Wadjuk people of the Noongar nation, the traditional custodians of land on the swan coastal plain and east beyond the hills. We pay respect to Elders both past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations Peoples. The West Coast Eagles is committed to reconciliation and empowering First Nations Peoples through the establishment of the Waalitj Foundation in 2005.
