Waalitj Marawar have been locked in for primetime clashes against Collingwood, the Giants and Richmond following the AFL’s release of the schedule for rounds 16 to 23.
The Eagles will come off the bye in round 16 and take on the Magpies in a rare evening interstate game at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, June 28 from 7.35pm AEST.
Andrew McQualter’s side will then face Greater Western Sydney in their second Friday night match at Optus Stadium for the season on July 4, and also host the Tigers under lights in round 19 (Saturday, July 19).
Both those matches will be off six-day breaks, but the Eagles have avoided any five-day breaks on the run home.
In round 18, the team will play its third match at Adelaide Oval for the year against Port Adelaide in a twilight fixture on Sunday, July 13 from 4.10pm.
Waalitj Marawar’s ‘away’ RAC Derby has been slated for a Saturday afternoon in round 20 on July 26 from 2.15pm.
The team visits Marvel Stadium twice more later on the run home - against Melbourne in round 21 (Saturday August 2 at 1.20pm) and the Western Bulldogs in round 23 (Sunday, August 17 at 4.40pm) - either side of a round 22 Sunday afternoon home clash against Adelaide on August 10.
Waalitj Marawar’s final home and away match for the season remains a ‘floating fixture’ against the Sydney Swans at Optus Stadium in round 24.
The date and start time of that fixture will be confirmed closer to the match.
